Santa’s Hotels’ Procedures During the Coronavirus Situation

The wellbeing and comfort of our guests, employees and partners is of utmost importance to Santa’s Hotels. We pay close attention to the changes in the current situation and follow the guidelines and regulations given by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare and by the local authorities.

The Emergency Legislation set by the Finnish Government has started limiting access to Finland only to Finnish citizens and permanent residents. Majority of flight and train connections will be cancelled. The Government has also limited public gatherings and closed schools. We follow the recommendation set by the Finnish Government to cancel all large events and we have cancelled our music and dance events in Santa’s Hotel Tunturi for the rest of this winter season.

We want to carry our share of the responsibility during this coronavirus pandemic that is impacting everyone around the world. We have closed our hotels and restaurants until further notice.

SANTA’S HOTEL SANTA CLAUS, ROVANIEMI
Hotel is closed until further notice.
Restaurant Gaissa, Café Linna ja Zoomit are closed until further notice.
The hotel will be kept on stand-by if accommodation is needed in case of an emergency. Requests: +358 16 321 321.

SANTA’S IGLOOS ARCTIC CIRCLE, ROVANIEMI
Igloos and restaurant are closed until further notice.

SANTA’S HOTEL AURORA, LUOSTO
Hotel and restaurant are closed until further notice.

SANTA’S HOTEL TUNTURI, SAARISELKÄ
Hotel and restaurant are closed 28 March, until further notice.

SANTA’S RESORT & SPA HOTEL SANI, KALAJOKI
Hotel, spa and restaurant are closed until further notice.

SANTA’S CHALETS RAKKA, KILPISJÄRVI

Santa’s Chalets Rakka reception is closed until further notice.
We have taken into consideration the remote location of Kilpisjärvi and apartments can be booked in case of emergencies: tel. +358 0400 230 011.

We reserve the right to all changes. Customers who have made reservations, will be contacted and informed of possible changes.

We have taken the following preparatory measures for prevention of the coronavirus:

Housekeeping in all properties has been instructed to increase the disinfection and cleaning of surfaces in common and public areas, restaurants, hotel rooms and bathrooms, especially paying attention to surfaces with continuous contact by people (e.g. door handles, elevator buttons, table surfaces)
Hand sanitizer stations are distributed evenly to all common areas as well as offices and staff rooms. Guests and staff are encouraged to use them regularly.
All staff are instructed to pay vigilantly attention to hand hygiene, avoid touching the face and prevent droplet transmission.
Our staff and guests are kept up to date with any changes in procedures and the current situation.

Accommodation Bookings

We offer our guests flexible booking terms. All individual accommodation bookings can be changed to a new date without additional charges. The new travel dates must be before 30 April 2021. You can change the booking dates again, should the situation change. Final changes must be done by 30 November 2020. If the accommodation rate is higher during the new travel period, we will charge the additional cost.

Booking and cancellation terms are agreed separately for groups.
