Bridge construction work will be carried out on Korkalonkatu, in front of Santa’s Hotel Santa Claus, at the turn of June and July 2026. The work will affect traffic arrangements in the area for a few days.
The construction is scheduled between Tuesday, 30 June and Thursday, 2 July. During this time, there will be temporary street closures on Korkalonkatu as well as exceptional arrangements for accessing the parking garage. The work will mainly take place during daytime and evening hours.
Progress of the work
On Tuesday, 30 June, Korkalonkatu will be closed to traffic starting at 7:00 AM. The work is expected to continue until approximately 6:00 PM. From Tuesday evening at 6:00 PM onwards, access to the parking garage will be exceptionally routed via Toripuistikko.
On Wednesday, 1 July, work will continue from 8:00 AM. In the evening, from 6:00 PM onwards, access to the parking garage will again be redirected via Toripuistikko.
On Thursday, 2 July, work will continue from 8:00 AM. The goal is to reopen Korkalonkatu to traffic by 6:00 PM at the latest.
Impact on our guests
The construction may cause temporary changes to arrival and parking arrangements. We recommend following local signage and allowing a little extra time for arrival on these days.
