Earth Hour 2025 at Santa’s Hotels

WWF’s Earth Hour event is taking place again on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Earth Hour is a global environmental event and people’s movement – a beacon for the climate and nature.

Santa’s Hotels has participated in Earth Hour for over 10 years. This year, each of our properties will also be displaying a light sign for the environment, as our restaurants will be hosting a candlelight dinner on Saturday, March 22, 2025.

  • We reduce our carbon footprint by using energy-efficient technologies, reducing waste and promoting renewable energy sources.
  • We work with customers, suppliers, employees and other stakeholders to mitigate climate change and promote adaptation measures.
  • We monitor energy consumption in all properties and reduce water consumption by limiting flows.
  • We encourage our guests to save energy and water with reminders in hotel rooms.
  • We use environmentally-labeled detergents and cleaning agents in daily cleaning.
  • We aim to reduce waste and food waste through joint guidelines and by communicating this common goal to both staff and guests in a way that is appropriate.
  • We are part of the Mara ry Energy Efficiency Agreement.

Our destinations are located in the embrace of northern nature, and it is particularly important to us to respect and preserve the surrounding nature and to encourage responsible outdoor activities through our own communications. The Green Key certificates and STF labels awarded to our destinations demonstrate the results of our destinations’ sustainability work and demonstrate that our destinations consistently maintain the strict sustainability standards required by these organizations.
