High demand periods include e.g. Easter time and the Vain 2 Kalaa ice fishing competition at the beginning of May each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The possible drop in water pressure is due to the location of Kilpisj\u00e4rvi village on the edge of the K\u00e4sivarsi wilderness, as well as unusually high water consumption in the area. Improvements and new structures were implemented in the Kilpisj\u00e4rvi water distribution network in early 2026 to address the pressure insufficiency issue and to ensure adequate water pressure even during peak consumption periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the event of water outages, we kindly ask you to use water thoughtfully.
