Developing accessibility in our destinations is important to us, and we have introduced an\u00a0Accessibility Index<\/strong>\u00a0that helps us communicate openly and proactively about the current state of accessibility and improve our facilities to be even more accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Accessibility Index is based on comprehensive data collection, in which we assess the condition of the mobility, hearing, and visual environment of our properties. This assessment is an essential part of our commitment to accessibility and equality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the help of the index, we are able to identify areas for improvement and implement concrete enhancements that make our facilities more accessible for all user groups. Our goal is to continue improving accessibility and ensure that as many guests as possible can enjoy their hotel stay with ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this page, you will find more information about the accessibility of our different destinations, as well as each location\u2019s Accessibility Index.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are two accessible parking spaces in the parking area, located immediately next to the main entrance. Each parking space meets the required dimensions (width 3.6 m, length 5 m) and is marked with an upright sign featuring the wheelchair symbol. There is space for drop-off traffic to stop directly in front of the main entrance. No high paving or curb on the way from the accessible spots to the main door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main entrance is at street level. The doorway is at least 85 cm wide, and there are no thresholds higher than 2 cm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indoor Areas<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The reception is located in the main lobby. The reception desk does not have a service desk hearing loop (induction loop). From the entrance, the service point is located directly ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The building has multiple floors, all of which are accessible by elevator. The elevator cars measure at least 110 cm x 140 cm. All parts of the building are reachable without using stairs. The Aaltosali hall is equipped with an induction loop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hotel has four accessible rooms, all of which are double rooms with two separate beds. The doorway to an accessible room is at least 80 cm wide, with no thresholds higher than 2 cm. Accessible rooms do not have motorized beds. The height of the bed is 53cm and the height of the free space under the bed is 23cm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bathroom door width is 81 cm, with no thresholds higher than 2 cm. The bathroom has slightly less than the 150 cm turning circle required for turning with a mobility aid. When facing the bathroom from the doorway, there is at least 80 cm of free space to the right of the toilet for transfers. The toilet support rails are fixed to the wall. The toilet seat height is 43 cm. The washbasin area has support rails. A shower chair is available upon request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessible Toilet<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There is an accessible toilet in the public areas. The door width is at least 85 cm, and there are no thresholds higher than 2 cm. The space has slightly less than a 150 cm turning circle for mobility aid users. When facing the toilet from the door, there is at least 80 cm of free space on the left side of the toilet for transfers. One of the toilet support rails is floor-mounted, and the other is mounted vertically on the wall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is a ramp at the main entrance. The ramp has a gentle slope, with an incline of no more than 8%. The handrail of the ramp is located on the right-hand side when ascending. The entrance doorway is at least 85 cm wide, and there is a 1,5cm threshold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
